I'm excited to announce this January, I'm launching 2 multi-week house dance series! One will focus on developing a fundamental house dance step, the "Loose Legs", and the second will focus on understanding rhythm, energy and aesthetic of the dance relative to the music.
These series will take place during my Dance Complex beginner class blocks and focus within a limited scope of material so that students can see the progress of their understanding and execution over the course of multiple weeks.
Drop-ins and class cards will still be accepted in these classes as normal, but each week will repeat AND BUILD upon material from the previous weeks. Questions? Send me an e-mail at [email protected]
LOOSE LEGS 101
REGISTRATION thru Jan 11: $90
The Loose Legs 101 series will focus on learning and developing one of House's most powerful basic steps. Students will learn the basic concept and technique of the step, and will also learn how to change directions, perform variations, connect their upper body and improvise (freestyle) using Loose Legs.
Sundays: 11:30am - 12:45pm
Dates: January 11, 18, 25 & February 1, 8

HOUSE DANCE RHYTHM & AESTHETIC
REGISTRATION thru Jan 15: $90
The Rhythm & Aesthetic series will teach students different methods to better hear and "feel" the many elements within house music, from their feet, through their hips and torso, all the way up to their head. While basic step vocabulary will be taught, the purpose of this series is to confidently develop a student's dance from a natural place without the NEED for steps.
Thursdays: 6:30 - 7:45pm
Dates: January 15, 22, 29 & February 5, 12
