My most notable accomplishment to date might be something that was outside my control. On October 3, 2018 I was laid off from my position as an analytical chemist. As a result, I decided to pursue teaching taekwondo and dance full-time.

I was lucky to hit the ground running with the support of my friends, family and students. Thank you to everyone past, present and future who has been a part of this journey!

2020

• In March 2020, successfully moved all class offerings online in response to global pandemic
• Created Online House Handbook video guide, containing 45+ step-by-step videos teaching house dance basics.​

2019

• Served as Adjunct Professor of Dance (Hiphop & House) at Connecticut College, Fall '19
• Traveled to Sao Paulo, Brazil to teach and participate in Encontro House Festival.
• Initiated the FEB HOUSE project, a 28 day challenge to choreograph house dance routines each day for 28 different dancers in February 2019.
• Created my first 3 Online House Courses in January 2019​
• Co-produced 4th annual ​CONcentrate on the ARTistry (COTA) Urban Arts Showcase
• HOUSE Judge at Absolute Skillz 7 (July 27th)

* I originally tested for my 2nd and 3rd Dan black belts in the mid-late 90s, but my first school was not certified by the Kukkiwon, the World TaeKwon Do Federation's governing body.  I retested for both these ranks and became officially certified by the Kukkiwon in 2006 and 2009 for 2nd and 3rd Dan, respectively.  

I like to think my retesting of 2nd + 3rd Dan yields an unofficial 5th Dan, LOL  ;)
