Welcome to the Green Belt Module!
The green belt is a symbol for the student's growth. The student must recognize just as in life, growth in dance requires accepting and creating change. Students must acknowledge that coping with change is essential for progression. The challenges we face may cause insecurities, or even misdirect focus toward one's perceived weaknesses, but the student must remember how far he or she has come to even experience new challenges.
In Taekwon Do, green belt level is when students realize the need to pay attention to details. They've spent more time at work than white and yellow belts, but if they approach new challenges as if they were white or yellow belts, they can feel discouraged when their movement quality doesn't improve right away. Remember what you've learned to this point, and begin to refine your mental approach to understanding movements that challenge you. The way you connect with the floor requires more attention than in previous modules. Be patient. You're growing!
